Howards Cams ProMax 2618 race pistons are low-silicon and stronger pistons that you need for racing! Forged from 2618 billet bar stock and then heat-treated and aged to a T61 condition, ProMax race pistons have less than one percent silicon content to stand up to the most extreme racing stress. Plus, Howard Cams' X-beam forging design produces a stronger piston than most standard pistons for the ultimate in performance. These 2618 race pistons also have the ability to keep their shape under extreme pressure and high rpm with no skirt shrinking! CNC-turned skirts, oversized valve pockets with radius valve reliefs, forced pin oilers, accumulator grooves, double Spirolox, and lock removal indents are standard features.
