Brothers Trucks Bed Strips

Brothers Trucks offers bed strips, which are the metal strips that run between each of the bed boards. They are made of high-quality cold rolled steel and are available in polished or unpolished stainless steel. All of these bed strips are 1 1/2 in. wide and 18-gauge thick. Brothers Trucks suggests buying the pre-drilled strips, which are pre-punched with square holes, to save you time and effort. It also makes installation a lot easier! Brothers Trucks also carries bed strips that are not punched—the un-punched bed strips are sold individually. Wood and bolts sold separately.

General recommendation for steel strips required for wood bed truck:

* 1947-1950 Stepsides require eight strips
* 1951-1972 Stepsides require seven strips
* 1958-1959 Fleetsides require seven strips on long beds and eight strips on short beds
* 1960-1972 Fleetsides require seven strips for long beds and only four strips for short beds
