The FiTech Go Street EFI 400 hp system makes it easy to convert your carbureted engine to self-tuning fuel injection at budget-friendly pricing. Good for up to 400 hp, these 4-injector throttle bodies simply swap out your current 4-barrel carburetor for EFI performance on your gas- or E85-powered vehicle. You don't have to mess with the ignition at all. This FiTech system comes with the latest Bosch 4.2 wideband O2 sensor, throttle linkage that suits most transmissions, three fuel inlet connections, and a built-in fuel pressure regulator. This system is designed for applications making at least six inches of vacuum at idle.

Questions & Answers Ask a Product Question
Q:

I have a 73 corvette with a standard 190 HP 350 cubic inch. It makes my garage reek of gasoline every time I pull it in. No leaks anywhere. I am being told the only way to get rid of this is to convert to EFI. Two questions. Is this true, and will this system fit my car?

Asked by PHILIP on August 28, 2017

A:

Hi Philip, on the #30003 kit it will work great on the 350 motor. Next if you do the install correct on the FiTech system you will have no leaks ever.

Q:

Could I put this on a Ford 302?

Asked by DARION on November 16, 2017

A:

Hi Darion, yes this system will work on a 302 and you will need a 4 barrel style manifold. Next you will need a high pressure fuel system and electronic distributor.

Q:

This system says for 400hp. I have a new blueprint high performance 383, the dyno sheet shows over 400hp from 4700-6000, so is this system adequate for this engine?

Asked by RYAN on June 18, 2017

A:

Hi Ryan, if you are right 400hp I would change to the 600hp kit.

Asked by CLIFFORD on September 19, 2017

Hi Clifford, you would have to run a Command Center #40003 or Surge Tank #40007 with the stock mechanic fuel pump. Next you can see these parts on summitracing.com .

Just installed last weekend, backed with 40003 fitech fuel command system. 1966 chevelle resto mod, with 350/700r4. Replaced a edelbrock 650 with electric holley fuel pump. Fairly easy to install, with the command system, it took approximately 5 hours in my driveway. Easy to follow instructions, and I was expecially surprised that the kit came with all connections and all the wiring was more than long enough (almost too long) to install with no wire extending (amazing). Only issue is that all the fuse blocks are right behind the throttle body and almost impossible to hide, almost. I was able to hide under the vacuum hoses and distributer. Additionally, all the vacuum ports are located on the rear of the throttle body, and keeps the front of the intake looking clean. Came with all gaskets and clamps, although I found that the supplied clamps (for the O2 sensor) were way too large and wouldn't clamp to my 2 1/2 inch exhaust. Once installed and everything was checked and double checked, the starting process was began. Following the easy to follow instructions, all information was inputted into the ecu. First start up was almost too easy, ending cranked 3 times and kicked right off. RAN FLAWLESSLY!!! Let the engine get up to temp, and let it cool back down, turning off and restarting several times, checking for issues in starting. Every start, barely one crank and it kicks off (unlike with my old carb). Drove approximately 10 miles prior to having to put it away for the evening, and the incoming weather. Drove smoothly, extremely responsive, and never bobbled. Still need to do some fine tuning on the TV valve cable, to get my tyranny shifting correctly, but the engine feels snappy and seems to have more power.. hoping to get more miles on soon, but will probably have to wait until next spring, but so far so good. The hand held gives you some much information about the system running, including several things unknown too me. Only issue is that the wire connections from the throttle body, attach to the top of the unit, making it hard to find a good place to mount and hide the wires. All in all, the system seems to work as good as they say, and I have high expectations for it.. I read every review I could find on fitech and was a bit sceptical, but pulled the trigger and ordered it. Other than the 2+month waiting period, to receive all components, I am happy I did.. one of the best additions to my resto mod. ...read more

Nice unit for my 65 land cruiser. It started up on the first crank, and ran great on a 4 wheel trip on rough roads from 5000 to 12,500 elevation with no problem.

I have only put about 60 miles on it, it is a great improvement over the after market carb that I had on the truck. I mounted the Fi-Tech 400 on my 80 Chevy K30 (1 ton) with a GM Performance crate motor. Compared to the carb, easier, faster starts, greatly improved drivability, I can already see an inprovement in fuel mileage. At less than a 3rd of the cost of other FI's and about 1 3/4s the price of 2 carbs, you can't beat it. The only complaint I have was, it had to be backordered, but afterseeing and useing it I can understand why they can't keep up with the orders. Thank for a great product!!! ...read more

Worst Customer Service on The Planet. AVOID

I'm not just a disgruntled customer. This company has cost me lots of aggravation and money over many months, with very little done on their part to even CARE. Please read before you buy anything from them. I won't be making that mistake again. The FiTech 3003 Kit started failing on me about 1000 miles after installation. Going 55 on the highway and it would just seem to drown and then shut off. Scary and dangerous. They assured me my fuel pump was cavitating and I needed to reinstall it, so I did that a few times because every time I'd try to troubleshoot the issue with FiTech they would have no other answers and would instead show complete disdain towards a customer (who's not a mechanical engineer) asking questions. I think they do it so you get fed up and try to find all the answers on your own. Bad practice IMO. My last and final breakdown was a couple of weeks ago (see photos) - I was in the middle of nowhere, in a dire situation, asking them to please help me troubleshoot so I could get off the side of the road. They assured me it was the fuel pump (because they were too lazy to go one step further) so I waited one day on the side of i5 for a new pump to arrive, hitchhiking 42 miles each way the next day to get the part at the nearest town's fedex station. Replaced the pump and FiTech unit still wouldn't fire. After MUCH fighting and HOURS of phone time, I finally got them to troubleshoot one more step and realize their injectors were not opening. I then waited one day for the RMA number and then decided it would be quicker to deal with it my way. Their option to help me get off the side of the road was for me to take the part off, mail it to them, they would assess and fix (3 days), and send back to me. Which would turn into about a week on the side of the road. Today, two weeks later I'm still waiting for an RMA number from FiTech to return that first broken part and get them to fix it... I talked to Donnie and Patrick and sent them both an email as they requested. I'm glad I didn't wait on the side of the road until they got the part back to me like they suggested, because I would still be waiting... for even an RMA number to return it. RIDICULOUS. So I felt forced to buy another one of the same for ease of installation considering my location, and I spent 5 days THERE because of this company's negligence. I could not spend an additional 300 to tow my van, having also to purchase parts to fix it. To this day I have a broken part sitting there because the company won't respond, and I'm an additional substantial amount of money in the hole because of FiTech. Meanwhile, they have received payment from me for two of the same product. Tsk tsk tsk. BUYER BEWARE. ...read more
