Back in the old days, they used cow catchers on the front of locomotives to deflect obstacles on the track that might hit or derail the train. For frontal protection on your modern workhorse, you need one of Fab Fours' Black Steel Elite Series full guard bumpers. These smooth 12-gauge plate steel bumpers have a durable matte black powdercoat for corrosion resistance.

Elite full guard bumpers include tow hooks and are equipped with steel mesh-covered cutouts to accommodate factory fog lamps. They use 1.5 in. tubing on the wings and grille guard, and then attach the wings to the outer bumper for greater strength and rigidity.
