Engine Works Competition Series Seamless Double Roller Timing Chain Sets

Engine Works offers Competition Series seamless double roller timing chain sets for a variety of applications, including many Chevy and Ford small block engines from 1955 and up. These heavy-duty, high performance valvetrain upgrades are designed for street and race applications. They feature a seamless 1/4 in. double roller chain and multi-keyway billet sprockets to provide exceptional durability, reduced friction, and precise camshaft timing adjustments.

Key features and benefits:

* Seamless Chain Design: The chain uses a seamless design to prevent premature stretching and eliminate weak points common in entry-level link belts or standard single roller chains
* Billet and Cast Iron Construction: Sets typically combine a precision-machined cast iron camshaft sprocket with a heat-treated, CNC-machined billet steel crankshaft sprocket
* Timing Adjustability: The crank sprockets are generally multi-keyed (commonly 3-keyway or 9-keyway options) to let you incrementally advance, retard, or set the cam timing "straight-up"
* Reduced Friction and Load Capacity: Double roller strands distribute the operational load across two rows of links, which significantly increases load capacity and reduces friction for higher RPM stability
