Overview

Enginetech Engine Crankshaft Thrust Washers

Enginetech offers engine crankshaft thrust washers for a wide range of applications. These precision-engineered, wearable components are designed to control crankshaft end-float (axial forward/backward movement) in engines. They protect expensive crankshafts and engine blocks from damage by providing a dedicated wear surface, meeting or exceeding OE specifications. Order the washers recommended for your vehicle.

Key features and functions:

* Prevent damage: These washers take the wear, preventing the crankshaft counterweights from striking the cylinder block, which can cause catastrophic engine failure
* Control end-float: They manage the forward/backward movement caused by clutch operation in manual vehicles or torque converter loads in automatics
* Maintain alignment: They ensure the crankshaft remains in the correct position for proper connecting rod alignment, preventing binding, jamming, or uneven piston wear
* Material quality: Often manufactured from durable, high-quality bronze or bimetallic materials that can handle high-load, high-friction scenarios
* Using Enginetech thrust washers ensures precise clearances, which is crucial for oil pressure retention and preventing crankshaft "walking"
