Enginetech Mechanical Lifters

Enginetech mechanical lifters (also known as solid lifters) are precision-machined, non-adjustable engine components designed to transfer motion from the camshaft lobe directly to the pushrod or valve in an engine. Unlike hydraulic lifters, they have no internal plungers or oil-filled reservoirs.

* Solid construction: Constructed entirely as a single piece of metal to provide a rigid connection, making them ideal for high-RPM operation and racing applications.
* No valve float: By eliminating the squish of oil found in hydraulic lifters, they maintain precise valve timing and lift at high engine speeds.
* OEM specifications: Manufactured to meet or exceed strict original equipment tolerances for proper oil metering and engine performance.
* Ready to install: Enginetech packages their lifters hermetically sealed to prevent contamination and they often arrive pre-soaked in oil to save valuable prep time on the workbench.
* Common applications: Mechanical lifters are heavily utilized in classic American V8s, classic restoration projects, and high performance engines equipped with mechanical/solid camshafts
