All adapters require a loose fit over the pipe, and a minimum 1/2 in. gap of clearance is required for proper performance. Crushproof Tubing's diesel stack adapters are available in several diameters to use with their hoses, and some options feature a rod that allows them to sit safely on top of a stack for proper airflow.
