California’s Proposition 65, also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires the Governor of California to publish a list of chemicals known by the state to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The complete list of Prop 65 chemicals is available here: http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65/prop65_list/Newlist.html This notice is intended to warn Carlstar’s customers that some products distributed by the Carlstar Group in California contain chemicals that are included on California’s Prop 65 list. Such products include Tires alpha-styrene, butadiene, cadmium, carbon black cancer / reproductive harm Wheels cadmium, beryllium, hexavalent chromium cancer / reproductive harm Valve Stems carbon black cancer Sealant ethylene glycol reproductive harm which is [are] known to the State of California to cause both cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov. The Carlstar Group has chosen to provide this warning based on its knowledge about the presence of one or more Prop 65 chemicals in its products. The Carlstar Group has not attempted to evaluate the level of possible exposure. Products distributed by the Carlstar Group may contain listed chemicals at levels that are below the Proposition 65 level of concern, or could even be zero. Out of an abundance of caution, the Carlstar Group has elected to place the Proposition 65 warning notification on all its products that contain chemicals identified on California’s Prop 65 list.
