Ridetech 1967-70 Cougar Complete HQ Series Coilover Systems
Modernize the handling, ride quality, and stance of your 1967-70 Mercury Cougar with this complete Ridetech suspension package. Each system includes front and rear HQ Series coilovers, front upper and lower StrongArms, a front MuscleBar, and a bolt-on 4-link to deliver improved cornering, traction, steering feel, and overall drivability. The rear suspension (bolt-on 4-link) improves traction, handling and ride quality as the R-Joint rod ends combine the best qualities of low friction movement, lateral stability, full range articulation, and quiet operation into one special bearing that is available with standard bars that have fixed lowers and single adjustable uppers, or the double adjustable bar that lets you adjust the length without removing the bar end (check the part number specifications). Ridetech has matched the components and spring rates for a proven combination that takes the guesswork out of upgrading your classic ride. * Front and rear shocks/struts and coil springs
* Monotube shock body material - impact-forged aluminum with adjustable valving (rebound)
* HQ Series coilovers feature a rebound knob at the top of the shock for under hood access
* Front control arms (upper and lower StrongArms)
* Upper StrongArm designed with the upper ball joint moved back for additional caster setting (improves high-speed stability and steering); billet cross shafts feature a lowered mounting point to increase camber gain and correct suspension geometry; houses a stout double-sheer lower shock mount
* Lower StrongArm combines the control arm and strut rod into a stronger one-piece design; provides additional caster; uses a robust bearing in an aluminum housing at the front mount
* Front sway bar (MuscleBar with PosiLink end links provide immediate engagement between the chassis and control arms)
* Lowered stance
* Minimal welding to axle tube
* Mini-tub compatible
* Designed for street performance, pro-touring, etc.
* Can be upgraded to TQ Series shocks (ideal for autocross, road course and drag strip; available separately or check part number specifications)
