Overview

Ridetech 1962-67 Chevy II/Nova HQ Series Air Suspension Systems

Give your classic Chevy the aggressive lowered stance you want with the modern ride quality, handling, and adjustability you need with Ridetech HQ Series air suspension systems. They take the guesswork out of building a complete suspension package by combining carefully matched components to improve traction, cornering, stability, and overall drivability. Up front, the TruTurn system includes upper and lower StrongArms, tall spindles (hub or pin style; check part number specifications), steering arms, inner and outer tie rods, billet tie rod adjusters, and a center link adapter to sharpen geometry and improve steering response. StrongArms feature injection-molded Delrin bushings with Teflon to reduce deflection and stiction, while allowing custom caster settings for improved high-speed stability and steering feel. The system also reduces bump steer, moves the front wheels rearward 3/4 in. for added tire clearance, maintains stock track width, and eliminates the factory strut rod for a stronger, more modern setup. The rear suspension features optimized geometry, adjustable anti-squat, and Ridetech R-Joint rod ends that deliver smooth articulation, lateral stability, and quiet operation. Completing the package are four Ridetech HQ Series Shockwaves for outstanding ride control. * Tall spindle design for improved camber gain/lowered stance; compatible with stock disc brakes/most aftermarket upgrades (same as 1967-69 Camaro)
* Pin spindles increase negative camber gain for better tire contact in cornering; 2 in. drop for increased shock travel
* Hub spindles offer the same geometry improvements as the pin spindles with performance/simplicity/strength of late model C5-C7 Corvette hubs, consistent braking/reduced maintenance (hubs not included); compatible with C5/C6 brake systems (OE and aftermarket; caliper brackets included); requires minimum 17 in. wheels
* Adjustable tubular control arms (3 to 7-plus degrees positive)
* Strut rod eliminated; chassis plates strengthen subframe and provide a new front mounting location for the lower control arms
* Heavy-duty front sway bar (black anodized; 1.25 in. O.D. x .188 in. wall tubing; rate of 1,225 lbs./in.) for added front tire clearance with billet aluminum frame straps, low-friction bushings
* Bump steer reduced up to 0.030 in. throughout 5 in. of suspension travel
* Drag link adapter compatible with factory-style front sump oil pans; optional center link adapter available separately for rear sump oil pans
* Compatible with manual steering/Borgeson power box upgrade (not compatible with OE power steering)
* Bolt-on rear 4-link installation requires minimal welding to axle tube; compatible with mini-tubs/variety of axle configurations; optimized roll center and adjustable anti-squat (41-109 percent)
* Available with standard bars (fixed lowers and single adjustable uppers) or double adjustable bars (adjust the length without removing the bar end; check the part number specifications)
* Front lower bar mount reinforces leaf spring bucket and integrates with Ridetech subframe connector
