Auto Metal Direct leaf spring shackles are officially licensed GM restoration parts. AMD shackles are made from precision tooling to be just like the originals and exceed GM material specifications. Manufactured by certified OE suppliers, AMD leaf spring shackles feature plates that are precision-stamped from high-grade medium carbon steel and zinc plated. The special shackle bolts are accurately shouldered, also of high-grade medium carbon steel, then "thru-hardened" to the same Rockwell hardness as original. The OEM bushings use a blend of rubber compounds found in today's higher end world cars and the correct Marsden-style nuts are included.
