Aeromotive Phantom Direct Drop-In In-Tank Fuel Pumps
Aeromotive Phantom direct drop-in in-tank fuel pumps make it easy to upgrade the fuel system with a vehicle-specific in-tank solution built around factory-style tank fitment and serious EFI fuel delivery. Designed for vehicles equipped with OEM plastic or steel fuel tanks (check part number specifications), these drop-in Phantom-style systems are available in multiple pump configurations to match everything from mild performance builds to high-horsepower combinations. For some vehicles, the factory tank opening is smaller than later models, so fitment is limited to a single 340 lph, dual 340 lph, or single 450 lph pump arrangement (these systems will typically fit plastic-tank applications only). For other models, the larger factory fuel sending unit opening allows additional pump options, including single 340, dual 340, single 450, dual 450, and triple 450 lph configurations.
These systems are built to accommodate a range of fuel tank depths, including 14 in. deep tanks, 12-13 in. deep tanks, shallower 8 1/4 in. tanks, and tanks up to 16 in. deep (check specifications). They are not configured for use with the OEM pulse-modulated-to-pressure pump control and require installation of a return-style fuel system, including high-flow AN fuel lines, a fuel filter, and an EFI bypass regulator with a return line.
