Overview

ACDelco Automatic Transmission Piston Release Springs

ACDelco automatic transmission piston release springs (also known as clutch pack piston return springs or accumulator piston springs) are GM-recommended replacement parts that push transmission pistons back to their starting positions after fluid pressure drops. These OE springs will provide the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

Function and details:

* Clutch return: They push the clutch piston away from the clutch pack plates when hydraulic pressure releases, preventing the clutches from dragging or wearing out prematurely
* Accumulator cushioning: In accumulator assemblies, they work with hydraulic fluid to absorb harsh shifts and smooth out gear changes
* OE specification: These steel springs match original factory specs for tension, size, and durability
* Available for a variety of applications, including many Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, GMC, Hummer, Isuzu, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saab vehicles
