TransGo Automatic Transmission Direct Clutch Springs

TransGo Performance offers direct clutch springs for a variety of automatic transmissions, including more than a dozen Mopar models. Certain Dodge, Ram, and Jeep vehicles fitted with small or big case transmissions often come in with faded overdrive direct clutch springs, as well as burnt overdrive direct clutch plates. This spring is used to apply the overdrive direct clutch. Once it fades, clamping force is reduced, directly compromising the holding ability of the overdrive direct clutch. This leads to complaints of slipping or no reverse, reduced or no coast braking in manual 2nd or 1st gear, as well as burned up overdrive direct clutch plates.
