Attention: This converter is a lockup design, it is not advertised wrong or missing internal parts! It is built with a special turbine hub, special pilot, and an early small diameter 245mm piston and damper assembly to allow the lockup function to work on a 30 spline input shaft that originally used a 298mm converter with an O-ring on the input shaft which is no longer needed. The torque capacity of the single clutch is designed for lockup during light throttle cruising and cannot handle high torque loads. Must be used with type F fluid. Does not fit LS applications. Actual stall speed may differ due to engine combination, gear selection, and vehicle weight.
Special Attention:
Must be used with type F fluid. 1984-97 30-Spline with a 1.703 in. crank pilot. Will not fit 1998 and later 4L60E transmissions with a bolt-on bellhousing. Requires grade 8 3/8-16 in. bolts and nuts.
