Offered in a mechanical and electrical version, both use AFFF--Aqueous Film Forming Foam—a non-toxic, ozone friendly extinguishant with excellent fire knock-down properties.

Sparco 4.25L AFFF Mechanical FIA fire extinguishers are designed specifically for saloon race and rally closed cockpit cars where weight saving is not an issue. These mechanically operated multi-flow systems dispense the foam-based extinguishant evenly to both the engine bay and cockpit via seven specially designed nozzles, providing fast knock-down and fire-out times.
