Model 8770S locomotive headlights by J.W Speaker offer the most powerful FRA-approved replacement solution for 7 in. headlights (PAR56). They are designed specifically for railroad locomotives using only high and low functionality (determined through a control line), but can also be used as a 75 V ditch light application.
Features of Model 8770S locomotive headlights include:
* Diecast aluminum housing for maximum protection
* LEDs are long lasting, providing years of maintenance-free operation and lower life-cycle costs, when compared to halogen lamps
* 230,000 minimum Candela output
* Some models feature special heat technology that effectively melts snow and prevents icing
* Meets all Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) requirements
