Cometic Gasket Ignition Cover Gaskets

Cometic offers ignition cover gaskets for a wide range of street and off-road bikes, ATVs and UTVs from 1971 and up. These replacements are manufactured from high performance materials like AFM (aluminum foamette material) and aramid fiber to provide superior, leak-free seals. Proven under high operating temperatures and demanding track conditions, the gaskets are made in accordance with factory specs to ensure proper fitment and long-lasting performance.

Materials and construction:

• AFM (aluminum foamette material): Features an aluminum core with a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber coating that resists creeping, cracking, or becoming brittle, and typically does not require extra gasket sealer. The gaskets offer up to an 85 percent recovery rate while maintaining high torque retention. Because they won't stick to the case, it saves significant service time during future teardowns.
• Fiber / Aramid blends: Designed to handle high clamp loads and extreme thermal cycles in powersports and automotive applications. These synthetic gaskets do not become brittle or crack under high thermal loads.
