Flex-A-Lite Flex-Wave Electric Fans flow more air, are more efficient, and run quieter than straight- and S-blade fans. The fans move up to 20% more air than Flex-A-Lite’s famous Trimline fans, and up to 25% more than comparable electric fans. The leading edge of the fan blades has a wind tunnel-tested ‘sine wave’ design. Instead of being a blunt, solid edge, the leading edge has a profile that cuts through the air to start air movement around the blade. This makes the Flex-Wave fan more efficient.
The fan blades also have a wave, or rippled, surface that creates air channels for the air to move in, improving airflow and reducing energy losses. That wave surface forms a ‘winglet’ at the blade tip that creates air vortices for even greater efficiency. And last but not least, the trailing edge of the blades has variations that help reduce wind noise for quieter operation.
Flex-A-Lite Flex-Wave Electric Fans are available in 12, 14, and 16 inch diameters. Mounting brackets and hardware are included.
Airflow Ratings
• 12” fan, 1,325 CFM
• 14” fan, 1,900 CFM
• 16” fans, 2,660 and 3,000 CFM
You’re going to need a way to control your new Flex-Wave fan. Flex-A-Lite’s compact adjustable electric fan controllers are the ticket. You can adjust the fan’s activation temperature from 160 to 220 degrees F, and the controller will turn the fan on whenever the air conditioning system kicks in. The controllers are available with either a thread-in temperature probe or traditional push-in style probe and come with a 30-amp relay, inline fuse, a provision for a manual override switch, and required connectors and hardware.
