Every great engine build starts with a solid foundation, and BluePrint Engines’ High-Strength Cast Iron Blocks deliver exactly that. Engineered for use in everything from hot street machines to race applications, these blocks have the strength to support today’s high-horsepower combinations whether naturally aspirated, nitrous-fed, forced induction, or endurance builds.
Cast from premium-grade iron in a German foundry and precision-machined in the USA on high-speed machining centers at BluePrint’s headquarters, the blocks feature thick deck surfaces, reinforced main webbing, extended skirts, and thicker cylinder walls for maximum rigidity and sealing under extreme loads.
Other features include:
• Priority main oiling for better lubrication
• Optimized water jackets for consistent cooling
• Siamese cylinders for larger bore capability
• Stroker crankshaft clearance
• Blind head-bolt holes
• Cylinders are sonic-tested to guarantee uniform wall thickness
• Align-honed main bores for precise crankshaft geometry
BluePrint Engines High-Strength Cast Iron Blocks are available for small block Chevy, big block Chevy (short and tall deck), Ford 302/351C, and GM LS (short and tall deck). Most Chevy and Ford blocks have four-bolt mains and cast-iron main caps. Select applications include billet main caps. GM LS blocks have six-bolt mains with your choice of cast-iron or billet main caps.
