Drag-n-drive veteran Bill Armstrong spent a lot of garage time prepping for events like Rocky Mountain Race Week, Sick Week, and others that push cars to the limit. His efforts would bring him multiple wins in his 1966 Ford Fairlane 500.
It also generated ideas on ways to boost track times and make life easier for himself. Armstrong incorporated these years of racing knowhow into his BangShift Billy Controllers and Wireless Button Systems. Precision-made in the USA, they’re engineered to help racers enjoy more consistent performance and easier operation of electronic accessories.

BangShift Billy Digital Clutch Controller
Anything less than perfect control when slipping the clutch on a standard street-style diaphragm clutch can cause a host of problems—spinning tires on launch, bogging, and excessive component wear. The BangShift Billy Digital Clutch Controller delivers repeatable 60-foot times and improved E.T.s thanks to its hydraulic clutch actuator that allows a standard diaphragm clutch to function as a slipper clutch. Adjustments can be made instantly with the free smartphone app, allowing remote fine-tuning of the clutch bite without picking up a wrench.
The BangShift Billy Digital Clutch Controller includes:
• Manifold assembly with valve
• Simple wiring harness
• Bluetooth controller
• Clutch bleeder kit
BangShift Billy Button Wireless Button Systems
Armstrong says he developed these wireless button systems after experiencing the frustration of broken and binding control cables that cost more than a few races. BangShift Billy Button Wireless Button Systems can trigger any 12V or 24V system in cars, trucks, RVs, and other vehicles. They can be used with line locks; trans-brakes; nitrous; lights and light bars; winches; air compressors; and more. The kits include four buttons, transmitter, receiver, universal transmitter mount, single-wire antenna for optional use, and TXL wiring harness with Deutsch connectors.
