Named for the original Jeep® Gladiator that was in production from 1962-88, the all-new Gladiator midsize pickup offers modern capabilities and comforts that make it a highly capable off-road toy and workhorse truck. Borrowing styling cues from the Jeep® Wrangler JK, the Gladiator offers many of the features Jeep® owners have come to love with the addition of a 5-foot cargo bed. Initially available in four crew-cab-style trims with varying levels of off-road capability, the Gladiator combines four-wheel-drive versatility with a standard 285-horsepower 3.6L V6 engine. In its second year of production, Jeep added a 3.0L V6 diesel engine option capable of producing 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque. Much to the delight of enthusiasts, the 3.6L engine comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, while an 8-speed automatic also is available for any non-diesel Gladiator. Available features include mainstays like a folding soft top, removable doors, and a fold-down front windshield, along with a modern central display, infotainment system, and other technologies.
