Air filters are too often overlooked. WIX air filter elements play a vital part in preventing foreign particles like soot, carbon, and abrasives from damaging your engine. Even the smallest dust particles can damage cylinder walls, pistons and piston rings and cause premature engine wear. WIX panel air filters provide air with a linear path and low restriction. They have special pocket pleats in the media, held together with specially formulated adhesive. The filter media is framed by a urethane sealing gasket and is supported (when applicable) by a mesh screen, which are both molded in place with the filter element. WIX radial air filters feature a mesh screen on the inside and outside walls for element strength and media protection from backfires. Each filter is held together with heat-resistant plastisol with specially designed seals on the top and bottom walls and an adhesive seal that joins the media ends. The GM LS Series engines are being built for a lot of different performance and racing applications. You can see good ol' hot rodder ingenuity taking place as racers are running carburetors and even using distributors on these engines! These MSD LSx trigger converters plug into the factory crank sensor of an LS engine. They then convert the factory trigger signal into a 12 V square wave signal to trigger an MSD ignition control such as a 6 or 7 Series ignition control. If you are incorporating a front mount distributor into your LS engine, this means that you won't need to run an external crank trigger.
