They're designed and tested with leading engine builders and offer features such as dual feed inlets for superior oil flow, an adjustable by-pass, a Hard-Coat finish for durability. Other features include a precision machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum body with a mounting boss cross section that's 5.7 times that of a stock pump to eliminate vibration and fatigue failures. They feature Tri-lobe aluminum scavenge sections with individual timing gears to ensure proper clearance at the highest rpm. The pumps use a spur gear pressure section based on Moroso's highly successful billet wet sump pump design, and variable spring rates optimize your oil pressure for smooth, reliable oil pressure readings. Moroso Tri-Lobe dry sump oil pumps have multiple -12, or -16 AN scavenge outlet options, weigh about half as much as gerotor pumps, and take up to 40 percent less power to drive.
