Edelbrock Ford Flathead Cylinder Heads
Edelbrock Ford flathead cylinder heads feature your choice of the original Edelbrock script logo or the block-style logo. Designed for both Fords and Mercurys, these heads are rugged, ribbed internally and externally, with a large water capacity, and excellent breathing characteristics. Available with 74 cc or 65 cc chamber volumes, the 65cc heads support an 8.0:1 compression ratio on blocks with a 3/16 in. base relief (stock bore and stroke); compression ratio increase is approximately 3/10 of a percent with each 1/8 in. of stroke increase. The high lift/large chamber versions feature a new "raised roof" combustion chamber design and are CNC-machined for high lift cams. Perfect for reducing compression in supercharger applications or for low octane fuel, they offer increased valve clearance and improved flow capacity. Match these heads with Edelbrock's popular Ford flathead intake manifolds. Edelbrock Ford flathead cylinder heads are cast at the Edelbrock foundry in the USA of T-6 tempered A356 aluminum. They're available for a wide range of vehicles from the 1930s, '40s, and '50s.

Finishes available for Patriot Lakester headers: * Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating (MCTBC), which is polished with a vibratory finishing process that not only produces a high-luster aluminum appearance, but also compresses and activates the coating, which increases the surface hardness. The finish is 60 percent more corrosion resistant than an unpolished surface, easy to maintain, and will last for years under normal operation conditions. MCTBC also protects and extends the life of headers by creating a thermal barrier (heat-resistant up to 1,600 degrees F) that significantly lowers under hood temperatures and protects the substrate metal from thermal fatigue. * Hi-Temp black coating is an affordably priced alternative to their MCTBC. This finish provides good corrosion and heat protection when compared to many of the "cheaper" header finishes being applied by our competitors.
