Powerglide transmissions lack the simplicity of connecting a shifting linkage to them that later GM automatic transmissions adopted. As a result, there exist many different range-select shafts with their differences. Shiftworks steering column shift linkages are offered in two different kits to use with models that have removable or non-removeable transmission shift levers.
