Air filters are too often overlooked. WIX air filter elements play a vital part in preventing foreign particles like soot, carbon, and abrasives from damaging your engine. Even the smallest dust particles can damage cylinder walls, pistons and piston rings and cause premature engine wear. WIX panel air filters provide air with a linear path and low restriction. They have special pocket pleats in the media, held together with specially formulated adhesive. The filter media is framed by a urethane sealing gasket and is supported (when applicable) by a mesh screen, which are both molded in place with the filter element. WIX radial air filters feature a mesh screen on the inside and outside walls for element strength and media protection from backfires. Each filter is held together with heat-resistant plastisol with specially designed seals on the top and bottom walls and an adhesive seal that joins the media ends. WIX air filter elements for medium and heavy-duty trucks use more expensive compounds like silicone, rather than foam or rubber sealing gaskets, in order to assure a proper seal under harsh conditions. Their media feature embossed pleats and pleat stabilization beads that help the filter trap more dirt and last longer. End caps are designed with structure and fit in mind, many with metal end caps with handles, which allow for ease of installation and helps ensure that the filter becomes one with the housing to protect the engine.

When the nut is tight, the wedging action of the sleeve between the body and the nut creates a secure, leak-free connection. Additional notes: * Assists drying and curing in humid conditions * 4020 is a specialty additive, not to replace 4012 the standard dilutant for all Createx Colors paint. * 4020 works best by mixing with 4012 to create a cocktailed dilutant. Diluting Createx paints with 4020 alone is not recommended, as paint may prematurely cure, seed in the cup and create cured paint particle contaminants * 4020 is best added to 4012 in small increments.
