Strange Evolution Dynamic Drive Mount brake kits feature Evolution S DDM stainless steel rotors machined from premium stainless billets, proprietary heat treated, and fully ground. The kits also contain Evolution 4 calipers, high performance metallic or semi-metallic brake pads, additional components, and hardware. Together they produce more efficient accelerating and stopping of your drag racing vehicle. Kits are available for front or rear. Choose those designed for your vehicle.
Evolution S DDM rotors:
* Mounts to billet aluminum DDM hat reducing rotating weight
* Exhibits 48 percent greater yield strength at 1,000 degrees F compared to carbon steel, further maintaining rotor integrity
* Highly resistant to heat and corrosion
* Unique Aero Slot design reduces rotating weight and promotes even heat dissipation, compared to common round drilled holes
* Scalloped design further reduces rotating weight
4-piston billet Evolution 4 calipers:
* Computer finite element analysis (FEA) optimized and field-tested caliper
-- Design improves piston retraction, pedal feel, and stiffness
-- Results in improved pad wear and exemplary braking efficiency
* High-retraction piston and O-ring design to eliminate drag during acceleration
* Stainless steel pistons mitigate heat transfer to brake fluid
* Reverse dish pressure vessel piston maximizes stiffness
* All 1.750 in. pistons provide increased clamping force
* Type II black anodized finish resists corrosion, heat, and brake fluid
Aluminum caliper mounts:
* Billet one piece design
* Eliminates bolts, spacers, and nuts that require periodic maintenance
Brake pads:
* DTC-30 semi-metallic brake pads
-- Available in rear or front kits
-- Provides the best starting line cold holding power
-- Recommended for vehicles going 150 mph or less in the 1/4 mile
* DRM-35 metallic brake pad
-- Available in rear kits only
-- Provides high resistance to brake fade
-- Recommended for vehicles going over 150 mph in the 1/4 mile
-- Maintains decent starting line cold holding capabilities
-- May leave pad residue on rotors when not using parachute
-- While common, it's recommended to remove when installing new pads
