Chevrolet Performance ZZ572 Base Long Block Crate Engines

Chevrolet Performance ZZ572 long block crate engines are built around an all-new Gen VI tall deck Bowtie big block. They feature a forged 4340 steel crank with a 4.375 in. stroke, shot-peened forged 4340 H-beam connecting rods, and forged aluminum pistons with full-floating wrist pins. The cylinder heads have a rectangle port that's redesigned to produce a pump-gas friendly 9.6:1 compression ratio. The block has provision for a mechanical fuel pump and comes internally balanced. Note: The required intake manifold needs to fit a tall deck block, and the distributor must have a slip collar.
