A bunch of wires hanging individually along the frame or engine compartment can make a great project look tacky. Vibrant Performance flexible split sleeves can hold wires, cables, and hoses tightly without the need to buy a case of electrical tape. With regular wire looms, one normally uses zip ties to hold everything tight, and then electric tape to close off the slit in the looms. Good luck adding additional wires later on. Vibrant sleeves feature self-wrapping split braids that allow for the addition or removal of its contents without complete disassembly. They feature a 25 percent edge overlap and allow for tight radius bends without distortion or splitting open. Vibrant recommends cutting this sleeving with a hot knife to prevent fraying. Summit Racing™ split lock bolt kits put a new twist on the theory of mechanical locking fasteners. These innovative bolts use a locking set pin built into the bolt itself—and when tightened, the set pin expands the bolt threads against the thread wall. This, in turn, provides a locking system without having to use any additional wires, locking compounds, or lock washers. To remove the split lock bolts, simply loosen the set pin and back out the fastener. They are available in a variety of thread sizes, for engine applications from the 1950s and up.

Summit Racing™ Volcano spark plug boot protectors have crushed lava rock filament fibers that make the boots stronger and more flexible, while operating at maximum service temperatures of 1,800 degrees F continuous and 2,500 degrees F intermittent radiant heat. Volcano products have a custom carbon fiber look. Plug boots are sewn together with Kevlar© / stainless steel thread. They contain a layer of Volcano Fiber in addition to aluminized/fiberglass material. The two layers of insulating material add to the thermal protection of the product.
