Sonnax pressure switch rebuild kits can help salvage your transmission electro-hydraulic control module (TEHCM), restore normal switch operation, eliminate codes, and provide renewed shift performance in all ranges. Some GM transmissions send various trouble codes related to internal fluid pressure failures to your TEHCM. These codes may be accompanied by torque converter clutch (TCC) apply problems or shift irregularities such as slipping, flares, harsh application, and bind-ups. Often, the cause is laminated portions of unobtainable OE pressure switches breaching, preventing normal switch operation. Avoid multiple breakdowns that can trigger failsafe mode and TEHCM replacement by ordering the Sonnax pressure switch rebuild kit recommended for your GM transmission.

Solenoid switch valves and plugs in various Chrysler transmissions cause bore wear as they oscillate and stroke during operation. This wear allows pressure loss and cross-leakage, and often permits the plugs to cock and hang up in the bore. This can result in failsafe mode, various codes, bind-ups, and burnt overdrive or 4th clutches. In 41 and 42 series units, TCC concerns can result, including engine stalling due to improper lockup. Reconditioning the bore and installing a patented Sonnax oversized solenoid switch valve and plug kit restores vital clearances for renewed operation and control. Additional details: * Patented Sonnax plugs redesigned to prevent cocking * O-ringed end plug positively seals bore * Annular grooves help center valve and plugs in bore to prevent future side-load wear * Hardcoat anodized aluminum valve and plug combat premature wear * Fits bores containing OE switch valve with .453 in. diameter large spool only Kit contents: -- Valve -- Inner plug -- Outer plug -- End plug -- O-ring

Summit Racing™ torque converter lockup kits are a simple way to control converter clutch lockup in 4th gear when swapping a GM 700R4 or 200-4R transmission in an early non-computer controlled vehicle. The adjustable vacuum switch will hold the clutch on during steady state cruising and disengage when accelerating or downshifting. Summit Racing™ torque converter lockup kits are available in automatic (+12V applied via vacuum switch) and manual (+12V applied via toggle switch) versions. Choose the one preferred for your application.

Listen up, performance enthusiasts—if you prefer automatics, you'll be interested in these torque converter lock-up kits from Chevrolet Performance. They're designed to adapt the 4L60 or 700R4 transmissions (non-electric version) in early-model GM vehicles. These transmission performance kits include a throttle valve spring for carbureted engines, a normally closed fourth gear clutch switch, a wiring connector for the torque converter, and an instruction sheet to facilitate the installation.

B&M's ShiftPlus electronic shift improvers use vacuums or electronics to improve the characteristics of your transmission, and let you change settings as you drive. Great for performance, towing, and RV use, these shift improvers recalibrate your transmission in one of two ways: Vacuum-style transmissions, such as a GM 4T60E, simply recalibrate the hydraulic system through the modulator circuit to provide firmer, more positive shifts; electronically controlled transmissions, such as a Ford AODE, recalibrate the transmission's hydraulic system electronically to give you a firmer, quicker shift, for better performance and longer transmission life. A flip of the switch allows the transmission to operate in the original factory mode at level 1 (firmer than factory) or level 2 (much firmer than factory). Either type installs in minutes with a few simple hand tools, without removing the pan.

ATI Stator Support Shafts are manufactured from high-quality, heat-treated steel to increase bore life in this critical area. This press in, heat treated, stator support tube provides added strength and support for the torque converter stator assembly. The roller burnish finish in the seal area of the bore improves sealing for better pressure. The spline and knurl areas have been induction-hardened to resist wear and failure. The knurling enables more positive press fit in steel pump halves. ATI recommends pinning the shaft in place for over 1200 hp applications and switching to an ATI Super Pump for the peak of reliability.
