Patriot offers affordable racing headers for many applications in the popular IMCA Modified, Sprint Car, Late Model Sportsman, Street Stock, Mini-Stock, and Pony Car classes. These headers use precision-machined flanges and lightweight, but strong, 18-gauge tubing. Mandrel-bent primaries and long transition collectors reduce backpressure for increased exhaust velocity. Some applications are available with Patriot's stepped pipe design to help broaden the torque curve for better corner acceleration. Patriot race headers are offered in a choice of finishes: * Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating (MCTBC), which is polished with a vibratory finishing process that not only produces a high-luster aluminum appearance, but also compresses and activates the coating, which increases the surface hardness. The finish is 60 percent more corrosion resistant than an unpolished surface, easy to maintain, and will last for years under normal operation conditions. MCTBC also protects and extends the life of headers by creating a thermal barrier (heat-resistant up to 1,600 degrees F) that significantly lowers under hood temperatures and protects the substrate metal from thermal fatigue. * Hi-Temp black coating is an affordably priced alternative to their MCTBC.
