MSD Blaster HVC-2 Ignition Coils
MSD engineers drew upon their experience with Top Fuel cars and created these new HVC-2 coils for use with the MSD 6 Series Ignition Controls. These coils utilize an iron U-Core design with a segmented bobbin for improved voltage distribution. The bobbin is molded from Dupont Rynite FR946 and wound specifically to create an effective coil with incredible voltage capabilities, lightning quick rise time, and lengthy spark duration. The housing, also molded from Rynite material, features far-spaced brass primary terminals and a well-protected secondary tower for increased spark isolation. The housing is completely potted with an epoxy compound for vibration resistance and installs with sturdy vibration mounts. They're designed for use with MSD 6 Series ignitions.

A vacuum advance canister provides improved economy, and the proven MSD mechanical advance mechanism allows you to dial in a timing curve to fit your needs. As always, an advance kit of springs and stop bushings is included. The housing features an all-billet 6061-T6 aluminum design for accuracy to within .001 in. An oversized steel shaft is QPQ-coated for low friction, and rides in sealed ball bearings at the top and bottom of the distributor. Are you running an aftermarket fuel injection system and looking for a top-notch distributor that actually works? If so, these MSD Pro-Billet Cam Sync distributors are just what you need. They're designed to work with EFI management systems that fire the fuel injectors in the same order as the engine's firing order. They require a sync signal to know when the number one cylinder is firing and feature an adjustable sync pickup so you can set it to match your ECU's requirements (up to 60 degrees BTDC). This sync pickup uses a powerful, rare-earth magnet for strong trigger signals, and the wiring is routed through a weathertight connector for a positive-locking sealed connection. Each distributor housing is CNC-machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, creating a strong, precise housing. The rotor features thick vanes to stir up the air and is injection-molded from Rynite for high dielectric strength. A 0.500 in. polished steel shaft spins the rotor and is guided by a sealed ball bearing at the top and an extra-long sintered bushing at the bottom for added stability. These distributors are ready to drop in your race engine, from the bronze gear to the brass terminals of the cap. MSD Pro-Billet Distributors
MSD Pro-Billet distributors share the same CNC machining techniques as the rest of the MSD distributor line. They feature a housing that's machined from high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum for durability and show-quality looks. Their oversized shaft receives a QPQ coating for friction reduction and corrosion resistance, with the added strength of two sealed ball bearings that guide the shaft accurately at well over 10,000 rpm. An extra-long sintered bushing replaces the ball bearing at the bottom of Chevrolet models. TIG-welded on top of the polished steel shaft is MSD's accurate mechanical advance assembly. The weights are supported by nylon pads that allow the advance to operate smoothly throughout the rpm range. For all-out racing, the advance mechanism can also be easily locked out. To accurately trigger the ignition, a high-output magnetic pickup is bolted to the base. This pickup produces a precise trigger signal that will never vary more than one degree at any rpm. A durable gear is installed for performance applications, and an MSD red cap with brass terminals and race rotor is supplied. They're available in standard and small diameter models for applications with limited clearance, and require the use of a separate ignition box such as an MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10 Series ignition.

MSD billet distributors are one of the finest street performance and racing distributors available. The distributor housings are precision-machined on CNC lathes from billet 6061-T6 aluminum to within +/- 1/1,000 in., producing a housing that's stable, lightweight, and less prone to flex. They feature an upper-sealed ball bearing to guide the distributor shaft and prevent shaft wobble at high rpms, and O-rings at the bottom of the base for improved oil control. The shaft is polished and QPQ-coated to minimize friction and allow the distributors to operate through 10,000 rpm.
