COMP Cams oil filter cutters are designed to cut open any cartridge type filter, after use, for inspecting metal shavings and other bits of debris. These filter cutters give you access to the filter media, without introducing metal particles from the canister itself. The billet aluminum cutting wheel produces a clean debris-free cut as you twist the filter across it. Once the canister is opened, it is then easy to unfold the filter element for inspecting the filter media for contaminants. Finding a piece of copper metal can point to main bearing failure before your engine seizes. To keep your high performance engine from becoming an expensive fix can be as simple as catching problems early on to inspect the oil filter for bits of metal by using these COMP Cams oil filter cutters.

Developed by one of NASCAR's top engine builders, COMP Cams lifter bore grooving tools precisely groove your lifter bores to ensure that pressure fed oil is directly injected into the contact area between lifter and camshaft. This increased oiling significantly reduces wear on the camshaft and lifters, and minimizes the risk of premature failure during break-in. This machining operation to the block is quick, easy, inexpensive, and the best insurance for a new camshaft. The replaceable carbon cutters are available separately. Tools come complete with cutter and handle.
