If you run a blower, turbo, or even a naturally aspirated engine, MSD's Boost Timing Masters allow you to run at the edge of detonation for maximum power output. They can prevent detonation by automatically retarding the timing as your manifold pressure increases. The secret lies in a boost pressure sensor that's inside MSD's solid-state control box. The sensor reads boost pressure through a 1/8 in. vacuum hose attached to a boost pressure source. The result gives you peak power without harmful detonation. A dash-mounted control knob allows you to dial in the retard from 1 to 3 degrees per pound of boost pressure, up to a maximum retard of 15 degrees. Vacuum tubing is not included. These units must be used with an MSD 6, 7 or 8 series ignition.

The 6-Mod Ignition Controller was originally developed for the 4.6 and 5.4-liter modular motors that were fed through a carburetor rather than an electronic fuel injection system. However, with the useful options that the 6-Mod provides, such as two rev limits, a step retard and easy control over the timing, the EFI people wanted a way to take advantage of the adjustment. The harness kit provides a splice-free installation of the MSD 6-Mod Controller to factory equipped EFI vehicles making installation a snap. All of the connectors plug directly to the factory units so there is no cutting or splicing of your factory wires. Once installed, the 6-Mod allows users to advance or retard the factory's timing curve, program a step retard for use with nitrous systems or even map out a timing curve through a laptop by using MSD's Pro-Data+ software.

MSD three-stage retard controls allow you to retard your ignition timing in three different stages. You can activate one retard for a nitrous stage, and another at top-end in high gear for more mph, and still have another module left over for dual-stage nitrous systems. When activated together, the retard amounts are cumulative, so you get the total of the three. For example, if you pull 2 degrees, then 4 degrees on the second stage, and another 2 degrees at top-end, the total retard is 8 degrees (2+4+2=8). In addition to the individual retard stages, the Three Stage retard controls have an optional start retard function that retards the timing 10 or 25 degrees while cranking the engine. This makes starting high-compression engines with locked-out timing, such as crank trigger systems, much easier. These units easily connect to your MSD Ignition and can be triggered from points, electronic ignitions, crank triggers, or magnetic pickup distributors. They're supplied with a 2, 3, and 4 degree module, and must be used with an MSD 6, SCI, 7, 8, or 10 Series ignition.

FAST GM EZ-LS ignition controller kits deliver low cost and proven ignition control for any LS engine swap utilizing a variety of FAST EFI setups. They work perfectly with FAST fuel control systems, including EZ-EFI 2.0, XFI, and XFI Sportsman. The kits employ a simplified plug-and-play wiring harness and a compact, waterproof ECU enclosure--which makes clean, professional installation a snap. In addition, they are engineered to use stock LS crank and cam sensors to save money and installation time. Four LED lights indicate that the controller is powered up and receiving signals. These kits are designed to be extremely user-friendly by offering a quick setup option that doesn't require tuning or a laptop.
