Currie 9-inch third members are designed to fit Ford 9-inch applications. The case is made from nodular iron and installed is a Currie TwinTrac® posi differential in 31 spline, or Eaton TrueTrac differential in the 35 spline options. All Currie third members include a big bearing "Daytona" pinion support, are fully assembled, and delivered ready to install.

Trail-Gear assembled Super Finish third members are made from tool-grade 8620 steel and heat-treated for maximum strength and wear resistance. They include all new parts and are ready to drop into your axle with top-quality Super Finish 29-spline ring and pinion gears, and your choice of locker. The ring and pinion gears are treated with the REM Isotropic Super Finishing (ISF) process, which removes the microscopic peaks in the material and creates a surface on the ring and pinion gears with a roughness of less than 10 µin Ra. This means that there is less friction between the gears, reducing wear by 95 percent, and allowing the gears and bearings to run cooler and last longer. Select the ideal kit for your application.
