The APR Suspension Control Unit (SCU) Upgrade directly replaces your factory suspension controller with a new unit that enables advanced control over your vehicle's factory electronic shocks. The factory controller only operates in a "soft" or "stiff" state with no behavior in-between, despite the incredible capability of the factory electronic shocks. This controller has advanced programming that takes various inputs to provide fine-tuned control over the shocks in real time. The controller still retains factory comfort and sport functionally, and it doesn't compromise ride quality for performance. However, both modes rapidly increase performance depending on various inputs—such as acceleration, brake pressure, G-forces, steering angle, speed, and damper shaft velocity. The experience is absolutely transformative. For the casual driver, the vehicle is more comfortable and rides better than stock. Icon Vehicle Dynamics Intelligent Control Installation Kits
Icon Vehicle Dynamics Intelligent Control installation kits are must-have, smart tools to have onboard your vehicle. They package computer, along with application specific mounting brackets, hardware, and wiring harnesses to ensure your install is easy and clean looking. Choose the proper IIC kit for your vehicle. Icon Intelligent Control (IIC) is the computer that monitors, analyzes, and processes data in real-time. Information from the onboard G-force sensor and gyroscope perform calculations based on algorithms and user-defined settings to predict terrain and wheel position. IIC has the capability to collect information at over 1,000 times per second, process the data, make adjustments, and then deliver those changes to the Compression Damping Electronic Valve (CDEV) in the shock absorbers in under 40 ms. IIC also works as a data driver to connect the user to Icon's proprietary mobile app interface for monitoring and adjusting shock settings. The IIC app brings all this technology together by offering a user-friendly interface to monitor, record, and adjust the system's performance via Bluetooth connection. Users can easily alter the shocks' baseline settings for firmness, as well as adjust the sensitivity of vertical "G-Boost" and lateral "Corner Boost" with a few simple taps from their favorite iOS device. The app includes several preconfigured "Drive Modes" (Normal, Desert, and Haul) but also offers the ability for users to create an unlimited number of unique presets using their own custom settings. To top it all off, you can record data from your trip including time, speed, distance, and G-forces for your very own Iconic overview.
