MPI's KD steering wheels are specifically designed for Dirt Kart, Micro Sprint, and Mini Sprint. The inner structure has been engineered to deform under elevated impacts, absorbing the load and reducing the effect on the drivers upper body, offering an engineered safety advantage. The round-shaped inner structure makes the holding of the wheel a natural feel for the driver. The inner foam is engineered to the highest vibration absorption rate in the industry. MPI's KD steering wheels feature dirt-style finger bump indentations, slotted spokes for reduced weight, a NASCAR style 3-bolt hole pattern, and are covered in three different synthetic materials: Lederfylon high-grip, orange synthetic, carbon synthetic. The mix of material with strategic areas finished with an extreme grip carbon look covering (RG material), along with MPI's orange crossed-stitched technique increases driver hand grip, reduces fatigue, and facilitates holding the wheel one-handed. The double orange markers help both driver and crew chief to get a visual reference of the steering wheel position. Available in 13 in. and 14 in. sizes, both wheel models feature a flat top area for increased visibility. Each steering wheel is individually serial numbered for traceability.
