TeraFlex HD tie rod and drag link kits are built for punishment. Extreme conditions that normally would cause your factory steering components to bend and fail are where these kits will survive. They are designed and engineered to be strong and durable to take you through the terrain, over the rocks, and back home. Outfit your rig with TeraFlex HD tie rod and drag link kits. TeraFlex kits feature: * HD tie rod is 1.6 in. O.D. 4140 heat-treated chromoly * Forged tie rod end housing designed * Allows proper clearance for use with factory 17 in. wheels * Tie rod end joint incorporates same features found in TeraFlex ball joints, including 4140 chromoly ball/stud and 1045 carbon steel housing * Adjustable preload tension to ensure proper long-term durability * Includes the clamp or the TeraFlex steering stabilizer relocation kit * The joint is pressed into the rod end housing and secured with a snap ring. Superlift's award-winning steering system is available for all vehicle models equipped with Ford's Twin Traction Beam (TTB) suspension. It consists of a centerlink, an idler arm and mounting bracket, and two tie rod assemblies. The system is compatible with most name brand 4 in. to 6 in. lift kits. The vehicle must be lifted no less than 3.5 in. and no more than 6 in.—plus be equipped with a Superlift brand dropped pitman arm (purchased separately). This Superunner Steering Conversion kit works with Superlift Suspension lift kits associated with Ford applications. Fords with TTB suspension are known for their somewhat vague steering feel. On off-camber or less-than-ideal driving surfaces, continuous corrective steering input is required to keep the vehicle pointed straight. When the vehicle is raised, these inherent tendencies are magnified. To correct this concern, you must: (1) minimize tie rod angles, and (2) improve steering tie rod-to-axle beam "phasing" ... the tie rods' arc of movement should better match the axle beams' arc of movement. These two factors greatly impact drivability. When this geometry is askew, the vehicle experiences excessive toe-in/toe-out variations as the suspension travels, resulting in the Ford TTB version of bump-steer. Superlift offers two methods to improve steering traits. Their dropped pitman arm reduces some of the additional steering linkage angle created by increased ride height. The pitman arm, used with a Superunner Steering System, further reduces tie rod angles. The new tie rod assemblies, more proportional in length to the axle beams, improve phasing. On most lifted Fords, installing a Superlift dropped pitman arm alone will result in satisfactory steering characteristics. The dropped arm, used in conjunction with their Superunner Steering System, delivers optimum steering traits.

A major common weak point on Chevrolet/GM HD series trucks is the steering linkage and tie rods—with high-torque engines, lift kits, and larger tires putting greater strains on the steering system than what OEM intended. Common failures include loose steering, front wheels toe-in under load while in 4WD, and broken tie rods. If you have performance upgrades in your truck, lifted it or do serious towing, it's time for a steering upgrade kit from BD Diesel. In kit P/N 1032150, the forged I-Beam centerlink is 30 percent stronger than OEM, which reduces flex in the steering system and creates a strong base for the tie rods to be attached to. The tie rods are 1.5x thicker than OEM for reduced flex and have larger inner ball joints for reduced wear. Testing has shown the BD tie rods can take over double the amount of force that OEM rods can handle. Greaseable ball joints come with sintered bearings and allow for better load holding and increased life. Longer, high-strength through-bolt designed sway bar end links are included to accommodate larger tie rods and leveling kits. Polyurethane bushings have OEM-style shaping for articulation and durability. The entire kit retains factory geometry for accurate steering and will allow for any OEM replacement parts to drop-in without any geometry sacrifice or modification required. Other upgrade kit designs change the geometry of the steering, which can sacrifice safety and drivability for straight line strength while pulling or racing. This can also create a dangerous "bump steer" where the vehicle becomes uncontrollable on uneven roads. By not altering the steering geometry, the BD upgrade kit saves you from this problem. The total package is an economic upgrade for worn-out steering and will increase the durability, longevity, and dependability of your truck—while saving money by preventing catastrophic repairs. See if there's a steering upgrade kit that's compatible with your vehicle.

Rock Jock High Steer Knuckle Kits for all Jeep JL and JT models is a game changer, packed with features that improve the off-road capabilities, as well as the on-road drivability of your vehicle! Intended for use on factory axles, these kits replace the inferior factory aluminum knuckles with cast iron high steer knuckles that exceed OEM quality and strength. They raise the tie rod 2 3/4 in. and the drag link 2 1/2 in., moving the rods out of the way of rocks and helping to restore factory steering geometry for improved drivability and overall road comfort on a lifted Jeep. The new knuckles also feature two adjustable steering stop locations for full lock-to-lock adjustability which helps ease the strain on steering components at full lock. Stock ball joints, unit bearings, axles, brakes and dust shields are all retained. Rock Jock's Currectlync steering included in these kits features revolutionary high articulation forged chromoly drag link that incorporates a unique organic shape with many compound curves—which can only be achieved via forging, resulting in maximum up-travel capabilities. The tie rod is a 42mm (1 5/8 in.) diameter chromoly tube. All Currectlync steering ends are forged steel and comparable in size to those found on modern 1-ton trucks. Given the dramatic geometry changes vehicle lifts impose, the kits include a trac bar geometry relocation bracket with a fully integrated: a) steering stabilizer shock mount, OR b) ram assist steering mount (depending on the kit you order). The trac bar mounting point is raised 2 1/2 in., to correct geometry, preventing any bump steer. * a) The steering stabilizer shock mounting point portion of the bracket moves the shock up and behind the new tie rod location, far from its vulnerable stock location. OR.... * b) The ram assist mount portion of the bracket provides an easy bolt-up anchor point for your hydraulic assist ram, as well as a lower skid plate, incorporated into the bracket, to protect the ram from rocks. Kits Include: * Left side high steer steering knuckle * Right side high steer steering knuckle * Currectlync Drag Link * Currectlync Tie Rod * Trac bar relocation and ram mount axle bracket -OR- Trac bar relocation and stabilizer shock mount axle bracket (depending on kit) * Stabilizer shock tie rod clamp -OR- Ram assist tie rod clamp (depending on kit chosen)
