Allstar Performance backing pads work with Allstar tire sanders and other models that have a 5/8 in.-11 arbor. The 7 in. model is a multi-piece unit that features a hard backing. The sanding disc is secured to the sander along with the backing pad and reinforcing disc with one spanner nut. The 8 in. model is a one-piece unit that features a soft foam backing and a molded-in threaded insert to mount directly to the sander. The backing pad accepts hook-and-loop style sanding discs.
