Unlike other cleats, these incorporate a 1/2 in. quick-release pin and are flush with the deck when not in use. To use, simply loop your docking ropes or bumpers through the hole in the lever portion of the quick-pin and store them away. When ready for use, depress the button on the quick-pin, insert the pin into the hole in the flange, release the button on the pin, and you're done.
