Racepak Hall Effect Driveshaft Sensors

Racepak Hall Effect driveshaft sensors take advantage of the magnetic field created by simple magnets. It allows the sensors to generate a measurable voltage output known as the Hall Effect. This output can be gauged to accurately determine things like driveshaft or wheel rpm. These metal devices feature a 5/16 in. fine thread pitch on one end and a 3-pin Molex connector on the other for installation. Racepak Hall Effect driveshaft sensors work with several models of Racepak data loggers and dashes.

FuelTech Hall Effect Converters

FuelTech hall effect converters are designed to read an analog VR signal and transform init to a digital signal (Hall). This is recommended when using VR speed sensors (found in most ABS systems) or when using VR fuel flow meters. (Note: Not compatible with differential hall-effect or magneto-resistive sensors.)

DIYAutoTune Hall Effect Sensors

DIYAutoTune hall effect sensors can be used as crankshaft or camshaft position sensors, and are also suitable for use as vehicle speed sensors (VSS). The threaded bodies feature a red anodized finish and includes two M12 mounting nuts. They run off 5 to 24 V and gives a nice square wave, so there's no variable voltage issues. Specifications are: * Operating voltage: 5 to 24 V * Maximum over-voltage and reverse voltage: +30 to -24 V * Maximum supply current required: 6 mA * Maximum output current sinking: 20 mA * Output type: Open collector * Triggering options: Magnet or ferrous metal * Maximum frequency: 15 kHz * Temperature range: -40 to +125 degrees C * Nominal air gap: 1.5mm * Thread pitch: M12 x 1mm * Overall length: 65.5mm, not including wires * Sensor material: Aluminum * Sensor orientation: Not directional * Recommended tooth size is a rectangle measuring at least 2.5mm x 6.35mm, with a 5.0mm tooth height.

AiM Sports Inductive Contrinex Speed Sensors

AiM Sports Inductive Contrinex speed sensors are robust, non-contact sensors used in motorsport to measure wheel or axle speed by detecting ferrous metal targets (like bolts or teeth). They work with AiM data loggers to provide precise speed data, featuring vacuum-encapsulated electronics protected against vibrations, dirt, and high temperatures, making them highly reliable for harsh racing environments. Additional details: * Inductive sensors generate a magnetic field and detect metallic target interference * Detects ferrous metal such as steel. Non-ferrous targets reduce sensing range * Sensing range: Typically ranges from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm, ideal for close-range detection * P67 rated (waterproof) and designed to withstand high vibration/heat * Available with plastic or metal connectors to integrate with AiM systems like EVO4S, EVO5, and MXL dashes * Often mounted on spindles, hub carriers, or near brake rotors to count, for instance, headbolts on a rotor * Common uses: -- Car/bike speed: Measuring wheel speed on formula cars or motorcycles -- Kart speed: Used with optional magnets or collars on 30mm/50mm axles to measure rear wheel speed * These sensors are often referred to as "fit-and-forget" due to their high reliability in demanding conditions

REDARC Hall Effect Current Sensors

REDARC Hall effect current sensors measure the current flowing in a circuit and output the value of that current as a voltage signal. These electronic devices are high performance, compact, cable-mounted current sensors, suitable for installation into rugged environments where a fully sealed product is required to assure reliability. Compatible with both their single and dual voltage gauges, REDARC Hall effect current sensors are 100A rated and cannot be damaged by overload.
