The Dakota Digital BIM-12-2 Exhaust Gas Temp (EGT) and Cylinder Head Temp (CHT) interface module allows for up to two temperature inputs (i.e., 2 EGT or 2 CHT; or 1 EGT and 1 CHT readings). The BIM-12-2 supersedes the BIM-12-1. The BIM-12-2 will supply this information to the VHX, HDX, RTX and VFD3 systems with a black plastic control module. (For any BIM-compatible control boxes which contain the 3.5mm headphone jack BIM input, add part number 394193 adaptor harness. Earlier instrument systems with an aluminum control module are not capable of BIM connectivity.)

These gauge control modules are designed to receive input from various sensors and sends signals to your gauge instruments. The RTX Retrotech control box is for use with Dakota Digital's Retrotech digital instrument system—which represents the latest electronic dashboard technology for the street rodder, car, and truck enthusiast alike. This RTX system combines modern digital electronics with a traditional look to give the driver up-to-date and accurate information on the operation of his or her vehicle. Once the gauge display panel (sold separately) is in place, simply mount the RTX control box within reach of the supplied display cable (approximately 3 feet).
