PerTronix Flame-Thrower plug and play billet distributors with Ignitor II® module are designed to provide maximum ignition performance and easy installation, all at a price that you can afford. They allow you to upgrade your outdated points or stock electronic distributor with a performance-proven unit. The distributors feature the patented Ignitor II® electronic ignition module and a CNC-machined 6061 T-6 polished billet housing. PerTronix electronics are compatible with any inductive ignition system coil, but high-rpm performance can be improved when they are used with the low-resistance (0.6 ohm) Flame-Thrower II coil. Their stand-alone design makes them plug-in units that require no additional ignition, but they are compatible with multi-spark CD ignition boxes for outstanding versatility. Additional features include a tempered shaft, an upper roller bearing, and an oil-impregnated sintered bronze lower bushing. The PerTronix Flame-Thrower plug and play billet distributors with Ignitor II® module come with a factory-set performance curve, a mechanical advance limiting adjustment, and a small, high-dielectric strength cap and rotor for applications with little clearance.

They include the patented Ignitor III® electronic ignition module and a CNC-machined 6061 T-6 polished billet housing. The Ignitor III® features adaptive dwell, which maintains peak energy throughout the entire rpm range, reduces misfires and improves engine performance. Peak current level is reached just prior to spark for maximum energy without the heat buildup and increased coil performance and module reliability. They adjust spark timing at higher rpm to compensate for the inherent electronic delay and increase energy for quicker, easier starting by sensing startup. PerTronix Flame-Thrower magnetic trigger billet distributors are perfect alternatives to the more expensive distributors that competitors offer. These distributors feature a precision magnetic pickup coil and reluctor for extremely accurate signaling at low and high rpm. An over-molded magnetic pickup coil supports windings, while providing excellent resistance to corrosion. Tyco Mate-N-Lok connectors work with most ignition system harnesses. A specially engineered reluctor made from lightweight FC-0208 alloy offers superior dimensional stability for symmetrical spark separation. PerTronix Flame-Thrower magnetic trigger billet distributors are compatible with most capacitive discharge ignition boxes.
