BD Diesel Killer grid heater upgrade kits are purpose-built to address a major flaw in the 6.7L Cummins engine--the electrical connection to the intake grid heater. When powering the grid heater, 200 amps pass through a small bolt and nut inside the intake and over time is known to deteriorate and eventually arc and break off.
