Each 4-barrel sits on top of its own split plenum, which feeds straight, tapered runners that dive directly from the plenum to the intake ports. This results in extremely even, efficient cylinder filling, which eliminates flat spots and produces hefty power bands, starting as low as 1,800 rpm and running as high as 8,800 rpm.
