Sonnax Externally Adjustable Low/Reverse Servo Kits

Sonnax externally adjustable low/reverse servo kits make band maintenance quick and easy. They offer an ideal way to improve reliability and make staging more consistent and predictable. Checking L/R band adjustment after repeated use is good practice. Unfortunately, OE servos with steel covers are difficult to adjust in a vehicle, so a quick check with such a servo installed is impractical for most racers. Sonnax externally adjustable servos provides an improved design that makes checks and adjustment of the L/R servo easy. There is no cover or access plug to remove because the adjuster itself extends through the cover. A quick check is done simply by pushing on the end of the adjuster and observing the movement of the piston relative to the servo cover. Select the kit designed for your transmission. Sonnax Feed Limit Low Valve Kits

The feed limit low valve in listed GM transmissions limits line pressure feed to the default disable solenoid and control valves. Feed limit low pressure is also connected to the boost ball system for "A" and "B" clutch control. This feed limit low valve is subject to significant side-load force, resulting in severe wear and pressure loss to the default disable solenoid and connected control valves. Such pressure loss can put the vehicle into default mode at high speeds, resulting in momentary wheel lockup, sudden downshift to 2nd gear, harsh shifts or a P0747 code. The feed limit low valve can wear out in as little as 30,000 miles, with many vehicles requiring service by 35,000 miles. A national recall from GM includes installing updated software that monitors valve performance and wear, then triggers a check engine light and reduced propulsion message 10,000 miles before failure. Vehicles are then limited to 5th gear, commonly referred to as limp mode, until the valve body is serviced to address the failed valve. Sonnax patented this drop-in feed limit low valve kit to overcome bore wear, restoring proper valve function immediately without the need or expense of replacing the entire valve body. Low Range Off-Road Clutch Kits

Sonnax Valve Body Detent Ball and Sleeve Kits

The detent ball in the valve body in listed Chrysler automatic transmissions (see Applications tab) wears into the aluminum bore due to continuous movement and vibration of the linkage. This creates excessive looseness in the manual valve lever and allows the manual valve to move out of alignment. No start or being stuck in Park can occur from the manual valve being out of position due to extra clearance. This condition often requires that the valve body be replaced. Sonnax valve body detent ball and sleeve kits allow the valve body to be salvaged. The bore must be oversized using the self-guiding bench reamer included in Sonnax tool kit 22771-TL12. A .096 in. diameter drill bit is also included to allow the retaining pin hole to be redrilled for use with the OE pin. Sonnax detent spring 22771-36 is also available.
