Hays Street 650 clutch conversion kits are designed to handle highly modified engines up to 650 hp naturally aspirated (600 hp for forced induction and nitrous combinations). The new 26-spline versions work in conjunction with a modern 5- or 6-speed transmission swap. These are true street/strip clutches for spirited high performance driving or frequent track use. The high performance dual-friction disc utilized in the Street 650 has an upgraded spring hub with heavy-duty damper springs to handle greater shock loads versus a standard damper spring. The disc features a sintered metallic friction surface and an organic friction surface. It does a great job at dissipating heat and fighting the slippage found in ordinary discs, along with providing the smooth engagement characteristics of a street-style clutch. These conversion kits also provide an upgraded heavy-duty pressure plate to round out the performance clutch. The Street 650 is a great choice if you visit the track often. RAM Force 10.5 dual disc clutch kits have a strap-driven floater plate and are precision-balanced for quiet operation. The sprung hub top disc absorbs shock and reduces driveline noise. Force clutches are available with your choice of a 300 Series friction disc or a 900 Series disc. The 300 Series organic disc models are capable of handling 500 to 800 hp; while the 900 Series metallic models can handle between 600 and 1,200 hp. These kits use a marcel spring—a thin, wavy device that helps to eliminate the go-or-no-go tendency that similar dual disc clutches have. RAM Force 10.5 dual disc clutch kits include a billet aluminum, SFI-certified flywheel with a steel insert that has sufficient mass to draw heat away from the clutch without distortion.
