Great for transplants! TransGo Automatic transmission modulator conversion kits provide a more aggressive and tunable pressure boost curve with engine vacuum instead of the vehicle PCM controlling PCS/EPC solenoid. TransGo modulator conversion kits include everything needed to add the internal modulator system with the oil pan off the transmission. From the outside of the transmission, you will need to connect it to an intake manifold vacuum source, however hardware is not provided for this. The kits do come with an oil pan-based resistor to pacify the control module for the missing EPC solenoid in applications where the computer will still manage the gear changes. TransGo Automatic Transmission Solenoid Kits

TransGo Performance offers solenoid repair kits for nearly a dozen automatic transmission applications, including models from Mopar and GM. Transmissions often come with contaminated governor pressure solenoids. This results in complaints of wrong gear starts, as well as governor solenoid and sensor performance codes. The computer uses the governor pressure solenoid to generate governor pressure relative to road speed, emulating what the hydraulic governor did in older 'RH' series transmissions. The computer varies the duty cycle to the PWM governor pressure solenoid to achieve the desired output pressure. Simultaneously, it monitors the feedback from the governor pressure sensor to confirm that the governor pressure is doing what it is commanded to do. When the solenoid sticks or is restricted, the computer notices that the pressure reading from the sensor does not match the desired governor pressure and sets a code which puts the unit in limp-in mode, resulting in 3rd gear start and no shift. These TransGo governor pressure solenoid repair kits contain everything you need to take apart the original equipment solenoids, restore the valve bore, then replace the spool valve, spring and cap with new ones. The repair kits include enough parts to rebuild multiple solenoids. The repair kits are available with or without tools.
